Cracks are the first sign of asphalt distress, and they're also the entry point for water — the #1 enemy of pavement. When water seeps into cracks, it erodes the base layer beneath the asphalt. In Florida's climate, this process is accelerated by heavy rains and thermal cycling. What starts as a hairline crack can become a pothole within months.

Our crack filling process starts with routing and cleaning — we use commercial crack routers to widen and clean the crack walls, then blow out all debris with high-pressure air. This ensures maximum adhesion of the sealant. We then apply hot rubberized crack sealant that bonds to the crack walls and remains flexible through temperature changes.

The sealant expands and contracts with the asphalt, maintaining a waterproof seal that prevents water infiltration. This simple, affordable maintenance step can prevent thousands of dollars in pothole repair and asphalt replacement costs down the line.
